First, you have to stop addressing the symptoms that give you acid reflux. The reason you have it is because you lack enough stomach acid, not too much. Doctors had me on several meds for over 15 years, until I found out that they were only treating the symptoms. I spent two years replacing my intestinal flora with fermented foods (Kefir, Kimchi, Kombucha, and Saurekraut), increased my stomach acids and have not a problem since. I've also done this for others.
Water relieves the symptoms, but does not solve the problem. You need more hydrochloric acids, and a good high-quality sea salt (perhaps as a Sole). Vitamin D is also important.
Once you've stopped the problem, and you have restored your stomach acids and intestinal flora, then you will start absorbing the nutrients necessary to begin strengthening the muscle. Exercise, and a proper diet (lower caffiene and eliminate processed sugars) will help you to maintain a strong digestive system.
You need to make your own cultured (fermented) foods, rather than buying them at the store. There is plenty of information on the internet about doing so.
This will also cure IBS, if that is a problem. Also, try to buy raw milk from a farm in your area to make the Kefir. Store (dead) milk will not be nearly as beneficial.[/
Just do your research on how to start making the cultured foods, and where to get the Kefir Pearls and Kombucha scoby. You can start making the sauerkraut easily. Just shred the cabbage and put it and all the juices in a mason jar, let it sit in the cupboard for a week, then refrigerate and eat about 2 ounces per day. After the GERD symptoms subside, then the nutrients will start feeding the loose muscle and you will experience better results from those exercises. Plus, you will feel about 20 years younger!
The kind of exercise is not as important as the fact that you are doing something ONCE you have been on the cultured foods for at least 6 months.
This is not a quick fix, but a real one.

Eating good meat (no hormones, no antibiotics, grass fed - not gmo grains) combined with homemade sauerkraut and other probiotic foods (Kefir, Kombucha, Kimchi, etc.) will go a long way to restoring and maintaining your health. I also recommend finding a good source of raw (unpasteurized / non-homogenized) milk to make the Kefir, homemade butter, cheese, ice cream, etc. Make certain that it is also from cows that are grass-fed with no hormones or antibiotics. _________________ YHWH is my God and Jesus is my Lord |
