Obeying Jesus, keeping His commandments, is one of main qualifications for salvation:
Most mainstream churches are spreading that works are not necessary for salvation. It is false gospel because Jesus tells us that "if you love Me, keep My commandments." If we don't keep His commandments, we don't love Him and will not inherit His kingdom.
And there are some more:
James 2:17 " Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead." Dead faith cannot save you.
1 John 2:3-6
New King James Version (NKJV)
3 Now by this we know that we know Him, if we keep His commandments. 4 He who says, “I know Him,” and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. 5 But whoever keeps His word, truly the love of God is perfected in him. By this we know that we are in Him. 6 He who says he abides in Him ought himself also to walk just as He walked." Liars will not be saved.
Those verses prove that works are necessary for salvation.
