So that believers will not believe every spirit that comes over them, by His grace and by His help, may Jesus Christ gives us the wisdom and discernment we need in His words to see the truth.

Matthew 7: 7Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: 8For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened. 9Or what man is there of you, whom if his son ask bread, will he give him a stone? 10Or if he ask a fish, will he give him a serpent? 11If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?

In regards to the gift of the Holy Spirit in that once you had received Him at salvation for knocking on the door of Jesus Christ, you will not be asking to receive Him again because you are complete in Christ and thus filled, otherwise, by asking to receive the Holy Spirit again, a believer would make the Father look like He gave you a stone instead of bread or a serpent instead of a fish upon your salvation.

Sowing to the fruits of the Spirit as opposing the works of the flesh does not require a filling of the Spirit to make that happen. Being filled with the Spirit is to remain filled with the Spirit as opposed to sowing to the works of the flesh. To suggest that we need a constant filling of the Spirit because of our flesh would testify that we are not new wineskin able to hold the new wine.

Matthew 9:17Neither do men put new wine into old bottles: else the bottles break, and the wine runneth out, and the bottles perish: but they put new wine into new bottles, and both are preserved.

In our present saved state, we are a new creature in Christ and thus new wineskin able to hold the new wine. That is the testimony we are to have in regards to our salvation as in we are saved. How else can we be witnesses of the Good News to man unless we are saved to call Jesus Christ the Saviour?

To infer in any way that we need to receive this continual filling of the Spirit is to deny the promise of being filled when we came to and believed in Jesus Christ.

John 6:35And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst.

To seek a continual filling is a work that denies His promise that we would never hunger nor thirst again to need a filling.

I know that there are testimonies of another "supernatural phenomenon" that is happening to other believers, and I have no doubt that it is real, but believers were warned not to believe every spirit but test them, and that line of discernment given is that greater is he that is in you than he that is in the world so that when a believer feels a spirit coming over him: that is not the Holy Spirit when the real indwelling Holy Spirit is dwelling within him by faith as promised. These "seducing spirits" are misleading believers into believing it is the "Holy Spirit" that is coming "again" with the sign of "babbling tongues" that comes with no interpretation, causing many to believe and teach others in error that a believer must seek to receive the Holy Spirit again and after a sign in receiving this "Spirit".

One woman whom was a believer a long time before this "supernatural event" of the "Holy Spirit" coming over her, causing her to speak in tongues that came with no interpretation, did not test the spirits as it led her to believe that when that had occurred, that was when she was saved because she got it all at once. Such a testimony is teh reason why there are such false teachings out there saying that if you do not speak in tongues, you do not have the Holy Spirit and thus you are not saved...which is false. Tongues are to serve as a sign for the unbelievers: tongues are not to serve as a sign for believers.

Hebrews 11: 1Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. ...6But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

Ephesians 1:12That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ. 13In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, 14Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory. 15Wherefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus, and love unto all the saints,

Galatians 3:14That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith. ..... 26For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. 27For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.

There is no other calling to answer to: there is no other invitation to heed: to seek to receive the Holy Spirit again when He is already within you is sheer hypocrisey at its worst as well as a departure from the faith.

2 Corinthians 13: 5Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?

2 Corinthians 11:1Would to God ye could bear with me a little in my folly: and indeed bear with me. 2For I am jealous over you with godly jealousy: for I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ. 3But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ. 4For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him.

Preaching another Holy Spirit to receive again is the same thing as preaching another Jesus or another gospel or to receive another spirit which you had not received: but you did received the Holy Spirit at salvation and thus cannot be received again.

1 Timothy 4:1Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; 2Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;

Even another woman, Joyce Meyers, had testified of having this same experience of the "Holy Spirit" coming over her as she too began to speak in tongues, but she interpreted that event to mean that it was God's anointing her to go into the ministry. There are those on other christian forums that are teaching that one has to seek this anointing to be equipped to go into the ministry which is also false.

1 John 2:26These things have I written unto you concerning them that seduce you. 27But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him. 28And now, little children, abide in him; that, when he shall appear, we may have confidence, and not be ashamed before him at his coming.

So it is a false witness to receive the Holy Spirit again after you had been saved. Those believers that are misled by seducing spirits with their signs and lying wonders should realize that they are departing from faith and no longer preaching the Gospel, but causing believers to become an adulterous generation by seeking after a sign in receiving these "other" spirits.

Matthew 12:39But he answered and said unto them, An evil and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given to it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas:

Revelation 2:4Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love. 5Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent.

1 Timothy 4:9This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptation. 10For therefore we both labour and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living God, who is the Saviour of all men, specially of those that believe. 11These things command and teach.

Colossians 1: 27To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory: 28Whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus:

This is another example of how believers are believing every spirit that comes over them and allowing them to mislead them to speak error in causing others to seek after those spirits. The ironic thing about this is that believers really do not know what is happening to them and so they want it to be of God and thus they try to "figure" it out by fitting it in the Bible, but testing the spirits requires them to discern the spirits by the scripture. The fact that one cannot receive the Holy Spirit again is evident by these scripture below:

1 Corinthians 12:13For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.

One drink of the One Spirit: that means no more drink is to be had to be thirsting nor to be hungering for we are filled as promised, thereby we can rest in Jesus Christ when we came to Him for our salvation.

So those that preach another baptism with the Holy Spirit are forgetting these key verses to discern the spirits as not of God.

Ephesians 4: 4There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling; 5One Lord, one faith, one baptism, 6One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.

Ephesians 1:18The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, 19And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power, 20Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places, 21Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come: 22And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church, 23Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all.

Colossians 2:5For though I be absent in the flesh, yet am I with you in the spirit, joying and beholding your order, and the stedfastness of your faith in Christ. 6As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him: 7Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving. 8Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ. 9For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily. 10And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power:

So when a believer gets saved and learn of Him through the word to continue therein to be His disciple, he or she is seeking to be a witness of the Son, the Good News to man, as the Holy Spirit within them is leading them to do, so that together, we seek the glory of the Son because the name of Jesus Christ is above every other name to the glory of God the Father.

That is why all invitations in coming to God the Father is pointing to the Son: not to the Holy Spirit, because it is by the Son we had received the promise of the Spirit by faith so that by His grace and by His help, we can continue to send out that singular invitation to the Son Whom is the Good News to man thus being a true witness of the Son in being the Good News to the world at large.

Look for the promise in these verses. For a believer to seek to receive the Holy Spirit again, then that would make God the Father look like He gave a stone instead of a bread or a serpent instead of a fish.

So what is your point?

We will recieve the Holy Spirit if we are true believers. It is that simple, friend. We cannot mock God.
