Americans, including mainstream churches exalt the military. But the reality of whole story of their practice is not revealed especially, in "Christian" world.
I was working for the USMC for three years when I was very young, late teen and early twenty. I witnessed many kinds of immorality. One officer used God's name in just about every sentence he spoke. And young Marines were allowed just about anything to say. I guess they felt free to do anything because they are serving their country risking their lives. I was seduced to join in their drunken and marijuana parties. They did not use exact word but I knew they were indicating it.
I was naive non-believer. But even in my non-believer's eyes they were so immoral and their standards was so low.
Of course you already know I am talking about Vietnam war time. And my native county is overseas. You should know that not all military activities are not reveled, especially in their own countries. And there are many, many evil things are going on at war. And this is the nature of the military.
The military is involved in many, many unChristian activities. It is so sad that American "Christians" stoop so low to protect their country, using Jesus' name.
